What is an audience?

An audience is the group of people that you are speaking too.

Please list three different types of audiences there are.

Age, Sex and Politics

Pretend that you are giving a presentation to the following groups:

a)High school students

b)Parents

c)Business men and women

a) For high school students I would mostly likely make refrences to today’s sports,music and gossip. If the kids understand whats going on and really can have a opinion about it , they will be more interested. Also I would try to interact more and make my speech come a live a little more. Because no highschool student would want to fall asleep during a boring speech and they would loose concintration quickly.

b) For parents I would mostly likely talk about topics that they would love to hear about; my academics, athetlics and life in general. Telling my parents all the good things I do or let them hear all the things they would want to hear would keep their attention a lot more.

c) If i was talking to business men and women i would use good vocabulary and make sure i hit every topic right on the head so i keep their attention.

1.  Do you like presenating information?  (why or why not)

I enjoy presenting information because I like to see and compare all the different information that my class mates have. Also I like speaking infront of a crowd.

2.  What do you think are the key elements in a good speech?

To have a good posture and keep a steady voice. Also to not figit around to much and distract the listeners to what your saying so they focus on something you do.

3.  What is difference between giving a speech about something you enjoy as opposed to something that you do not enjoy?

4.  Why do you believe powerpoint is a helpful tool to use for presenations?

Because it gives people who aren’t a visual learner and chance to see everything. Also it makes thihngs pretty and keeps the readers attention.

5.  When do you think you will be using power point after high school?

During job interviews or when you are presenting something to a boss.

What struggles did you find while creating this budget sheet?

As a whole , the project was pretty easy and self-explanitory . The thing I found most difficult was the time it took to put in all  the groceries.

Why is it important to try and find the meaning behind creating a budget for yourself when you go shopping?

So you have a set plan of what you want and need. Instead of taking a chance and going with out an ideas. Also it saves valuable time and money.

Do you think that you have more of an understanding as to how expensive food can be?

Yes , so much more of an undestanding. You don’t always need to get the “brand name” things, if its cheaper and taste the same , stick with that.

Did you enjoy this project and why?

I enjoyed this project because it gave me a mind set on what are the needs and wants of food on a subject.
